Detailed Itinerary

  • DAY 01: ARRIVE DELHI
Welcomed by Globe Travel Centre representative at Delhi international airport and transferred to your hotel. Immensely old yet gleamingly modern; Delhi is a city with wide open spaces with bungalows and gardens at one end and narrow streets overflowing with shops and houses and people at the other. Delhi is an interesting melting pot of different cultures, and earns its place rightfully as the capital of the country. Relax and unwind at your hotel on your first day. Overnight at the Claridges.
  • DAY 02: DELHI
After breakfast, embark on a full-day tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit the iconic Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, followed by an exhilarating rickshaw ride through the vibrant lanes of Old Delhi, including the bustling wedding street with its colorful saree shops, bangles, and jewelry. Next, visit the serene Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, where you will learn about Sikhism and witness the community kitchen serving thousands daily. Drive past the President’s House and key government buildings in Lutyen’s Delhi before stopping at Rajghat, Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial. Conclude the day at Qutub Minar, an architectural masterpiece and one of Delhi’s most iconic landmarks, surrounded by historical ruins and lush greenery. Overnight at the Claridges.
  • DAY 03: DELHI - AGRA (220 Km/ 4 hrs)
After breakfast, proceed to Agra, home to the magnificent Taj Mahal. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Agra was the seat of the Imperial Mughal court during the 16th and 17th centuries before the capital moved to Delhi. Situated on the banks of the Yamuna River and along the historic Grand Trunk Road, the city thrived under the patronage of the Mughal emperors. Overnight at the IHCL Tajview.
  • DAY 04: AGRA
Start the day with a sunrise visit to the iconic Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a timeless symbol of love, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. This architectural masterpiece, adorned with intricate designs and semi-precious stones, took 22 years and 20,000 workers to complete. Despite its global fame, seeing it in person is truly awe-inspiring. Later, visit the Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage site, before spending the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the IHCL Tajview.
  • Day 05: AGRA - BHOPAL (By train)
Drive to Agra railway station to board your train to Bhopal. Upon arrival at Bhopal station, you will be greeted by your chauffeur and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a short city tour of Bhopal, known as the "City of Lakes." Overnight stay at the Jehan Numa Palace.
  • DAY 06: BHOPAL
Enjoy a full-day excursion to Sanchi and the Udayagiri Caves. At Sanchi, marvel at the masterpieces of Buddhist art that narrate Emperor Ashoka's journey to embracing Buddhism. Visit the Udayagiri Caves, known for their ancient rock-cut sculptures and historical significance. Overnight at the Jehan Numa Palace.
  • DAY 07: BHOPAL - INDORE (243 Km/ 5.5 hrs)
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Indore. On the way, stop at Ujjain to visit the renowned Mahakaleshwar Temple and explore many other temples that make this city a significant spiritual destination. After exploring the attractions in Ujjain, continue your journey to Indore. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and unwind. Overnight at the Indore Marriott hotel.
  • DAY 08: INDORE - MANDU - INDORE
This morning embark on a day trip from Indore to explore the historic Dhar Fort, a symbol of architectural heritage and cultural significance. Continue to Mandav (Mandu), renowned for its ancient forts, palaces, and romantic tales, including the iconic Jahaz Mahal. Immerse yourself in the scenic beauty and rich history of these destinations. Return to Indore in the evening. Overnight at the Indore Marriott hotel. (Total distance covered: 215 Kms)
  • DAY 09: INDORE - DELHI (By Flight)
You will be transferred to Indore airport in good time to catch a short flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, your driver will meet you and take you to your hotel near the airport. Overnight at the Novotel-Aerocity.
  • DAY 10 - Delhi - Departure
This morning, you will be transferred to the Delhi airport to board your return flight.

When Should I go?

The months of September through to March are considered to be favourable months to travel to India. September has the added advantage of being in the “good weather” bracket but also technically falls in the off season in most places, so prices are cheaper for travel in September. The months of October through to February are pleasant in most parts of the country, though you will find the temperatures varying between chilly in the North and warmer in the southern parts of the country.

India’s weather is varied and different parts of the country may get monsoons at different times. May and June are hot months across the country except for the hill stations in the North.

The country gets monsoons in the months of June and July though along the south western coast, there are monsoons in the period between October to December too.

June and July are monsoon months in Kerala, the showers being heavy at first and then easing off gradually. Whilst these are not the best months for tours, interestingly, this happens to the best time for travellers seeking the therapeutic Ayurveda treatment which is said to be most effective in these months.
