Detailed Itinerary
- DAY 01: Arrival Cochin
You will be welcomed by a Globe Travel Centre representative at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Cochin. The city, fondly referred to as the Queen of Arabian Sea, has a long history behind it and was 'Little Lisbon' to the Portuguese, 'Homely Holand' to the Dutch and 'Mini England' to the British. Relax and unwind in the comfort of your hotel room when you first arrive. In the evening, go on a sunset cruise to catch a glimpse of the city's skyline at dusk and watch it transform into a million lights as the sun sets.

- Day 02: Cochin
This morning go for a sightseeing tour to explore the many fascinating highlights of Cochin; including, the Jewish Synagogue; St. Francis Church, the oldest European Church in India; the Santa Cruz Basilica, which was built in 1557 by the Portuguese; the Dutch Palace; the Spice Market; and the 15th century Chinese fishing nets believed to have been brought by Chinese traders. In the evening, immerse yourself in the captivating traditional dance drama of Kerala, Kathakali. This art form is renowned for its compelling storytelling, vibrant costumes, and elaborate makeup. - Day 03: Cochin - Athirapally (80 KM / 2.5 HRS)
Drive to Athirapally and experience the unparalleled charm of the Athirapally Waterfalls. Nestled high above the Sholayar forest ranges, on the edge of Kerala's renowned rainforests, these waterfalls offer a serene retreat for anyone seeking an escape from the hustle of city life. - Day 04: Athirapally - Wayanad (250 KM / 6.5 hrs)
This morning, embark on a scenic and long drive from Athirapally to Wayanad. Set in the picturesque Western Ghats and mountains at an altitude of about 2,000 meters above sea level, Wayanad is littered with tropical rain forests, dense hills, rolling paddy fields, spice plantations and valleys. Wayanad is a hitherto undiscovered location offering breathtaking views.

- DAY 05: Wayanad
Spend the day at your leisure, or immerse yourself in nature with an exploration of the sprawling 400-acre coffee plantation surrounding the resort. - DAY 06: Wayanad
Today, visit the Edakkal Caves, a fascinating prehistoric site nestled amidst the hills of Wayanad. These unique rock formations, created by a large boulder wedged between two massive stones, form a natural roofed shelter. Inside, you will find ancient petroglyphs and carvings dating back to the Neolithic era, offering a glimpse into early human life and artistry.

- DAY 07: Wayanad - Tellicherry (115 km / 4 hrs)
Drive to Thalassery, or Tellicherry as the British christened it during the time of their rule in India, a vibrant fishing town in the north of Calicut which is famous for the three C's - circus, cricket and cakes. It is known for being the first British settlement in Kerala and, needless to say, cakes and cricket were both introduced by the British. Check in to The Heritage 1866 and unwind in its charming ambiance. In the evening, experience the captivating ancient ritual of Theyyam at a nearby temple. (Please note: Theyyam is a seasonal ritual and may not be performed every day.)

- DAY 08: Tellicherry
Today, you can visit the bustling fish markets of Tellicherry, also visit the ancient fort built by the British. You will also have the chance to drive to the fascinating Muzhipillangad Beach, Kerala’s only drive–in beach. You can drive along miles of virgin, white sands or laze on the beach and be mesmerized by the beauty of the place.

- DAY 09: Tellicherry - Neeleshwaram (75 km / 2.5 hrs)
Drive to Neeleshwaram, a tranquil coastal town in North Kerala, renowned for its scenic beaches, picturesque backwaters, and rich cultural heritage. Immerse yourself in the vibrant local traditions, lush landscapes, and the serene atmosphere that make Neeleshwaram a unique travel destination.

- DAY 12: Neeleshwarm - Cochin (By train)
Today you will be transferred to Kasargode Railway Station to board an express train to Ernakulam. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you at the station and take you to your hotel near the airport.

- Day 13: Cochin - Departure
In good time you will be transferred to Cochin airport to board your onward flight.
When Should I go?
Being a coastal state surrounded by the Arabian Sea and because of its proximity to the equator, Kerala has a more or less consistent temperature pattern in the summers and the monsoons alike. The temperature hovers around 29°C throughout the year with varying levels of humidity.

Monsoon Months in Kerala
June and July are monsoon months in Kerala, the showers being heavy at first and then easing off gradually. Whilst these are not the best months for tours, interestingly, this happens to the best time for travellers seeking the therapeutic Ayurveda treatment which is said to be most effective in these months.
Best months for travel to Kerala
The months of October through to March are considered to be the most favourable months to travel to Kerala when the weather is sunny and pleasant. The months of April and May are also favourable for travel but the humidity tends to be comparatively higher. August and September are also good months for travel.
