Our Story

Globe Travel Centre began its journey in 2005 when we launched our first Specialist Tour Operation to Kerala, South India.

While we started from a humble corner office behind a coffee shop (located in a quiet, picture-postcard village in England) our ambition was to become the world's leading 'specialist' Tour Operator for Kerala - and hence the choice of the name 'Kerala Travel Centre'.

(Most of the village folk thought we were delusional at the time but we are happy to report that we have managed to change that point of view)

We wanted to provide our clients with the ultimate personalised, tailor-made Kerala holiday experiences so we poured heart, soul and passion into every aspect of the business- meticulously chipping away at it till we were confident that we had created a world-class operation.

Along the way we developed and implemented innovative features, which were the first of their kind for a travel company. Some examples include;

  • We are the UK's first travel company where clients' holiday itineraries are designed by local experts based in the respective destinations.
  • We produced the world's largest and most extensive travel brochures for each of our destinations. (our Kerala & Sri Lanka brochures are 200+ pages each. Our Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos and '10 Indian holidays of a lifetime' brochures have also been widely appreciated)
  • We are the first company to donate to a tangible cause every single time a client books with us (donations are made from our profits).
  • We are the first travel company to plant a tree for every client who travels with us. Recycling is central to what we do.

From Strength to Strength

With growth also came perks like having a bigger office in an even more picturesque setting. Encouraged by the growing demand from clients who had travelled with us to Kerala, we decided to expand our portfolio of destination products.

However our passion for providing our clients with lifetime holiday experiences dictated that any new product we offered have the same high standards as our first operation. So we introduced each of our new destination products under a separate 'Travel Centre', which offers the same unique benefits as the Kerala Travel Centre.
